Mark Rosen is a professional architect, CACEA Master Energy Advisor, and nationally recognized building science leader. As Vice President & Director of Building Science at Building Knowledge Canada, Mark leads the integration of building science, energy modeling, and systems innovation across residential projects nationwide.

With more than 18 years of experience in high performance housing, Mark has worked at the intersection of architecture, energy efficiency, and building performance. His experience spans site inspection, energy advisory services, digital workflow development, and industry collaboration, giving him a practical perspective on designing and delivering better-performing homes.

In his leadership role at BKC, Mark helps shape technical strategy, advance innovative solutions, and support teams in delivering practical approaches to increasingly complex building requirements. He remains committed to improving building performance, resiliency, and long-term outcomes for builders and homeowners.

Mark serves on industry advisory committees and contributes to conversations around building codes, energy policy, and sustainable housing. He was named Ontario’s Energy Advisor of the Year in 2013 and 2018 for his leadership and technical excellence.
