Derek is a Professional Engineer and MBA graduate who brings a strong technical foundation and a passion for improving how homes are built. He joins Building Knowledge as Operations Manager, an exciting and strategic addition to our leadership team that marks the creation of a new role designed to support the company’s continued growth and operational excellence.

Before joining BKC, Derek worked with a major residential homebuilder, where he led digital transformation, building information management, and strategic sourcing initiatives. He’s known for aligning teams, simplifying processes, and finding smarter ways to deliver better housing.

At Building Knowledge, Derek will oversee Integrated Design Services and Field Tech Services, helping teams collaborate effectively and ensuring that projects run smoothly, efficiently, and with a focus on excellence and continuous improvement.
