Prior to joining the Building Knowledge team in 2013 Alan earned a Red Seal as a journeyman ironworker. He spent over a decade working on a range of projects including large industrial projects such as dams and bridges, and small elite teams replacing guy lines on 400′ towers, and hand rigging heavy equipment out of freighter ships in Victoria’s shipyard. He works with builders to assist them in reaching their goals including on-site inspections, verification of compliance with home energy labeling programs, air tightness testing and providing guidance to site staff on construction best practices.
